Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Cardinals spent slot 113 on Chase Lundt, a name the board had a full 48 spots lower. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. The Johnson steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 16th pick they get a sticky cover corner, outstanding value to boot. More want than need.
They took Tyleik Williams at par in slot 47, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A reach on Quinn Ewers in the 78th overall pick; the board had better options right there. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Chase Lundt in pick 113 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A big swing on Shemar Turner at No. 151, well ahead of any board in the building. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
