There is reaching, and then there is Jake Slaughter at Round 4, Pick 15. The Cowboys jumped the board by 94 and dared it to prove them wrong.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
