The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Lions watched Jermod McCoy slide 166 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

In the end it comes back to Arvell Reese, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
