The rest of the league will want that one back. Caedan Wallace tumbling to the Packers in slot 255 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
The Rosengarten pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 20 they get a ballhawk on the outside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Edgerrin Cooper in pick 41 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A minor need, but a need all the same.
No drama and no debate, Malachi Corley went about where he belonged in Round 2, Pick 26. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Jaylen Wright at pick No. 76 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Roger Rosengarten at the Round 3 slot is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A clean, defensible pick in the 108th overall pick with a little surplus value in Cole Bishop. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Myles Cole this early at pick 169. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Curtis Jacobs in the 202nd pick. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
You do not let a quarterback like Joe Milton III reach slot 219 and blink. They did not. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
The board had cheaper options than Ryan Watts at No. 245, and it noticed. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Steal is underselling it; Caedan Wallace at pick 255 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
