The trade table was a mismatch, and the Dolphins were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Greenfield. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Trey Smith gives the group a proven body among the projects.
Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 21 they get a lockdown presence outside. More want than need.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Adisa Isaac at the 64th overall pick is the proof. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Sataoa Laumea at pick No. 126 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. It fills a real need, too.
Roger Rosengarten slipping to Round 5, Pick 22 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
By-the-book stuff, Delmar Glaze at the Round 6 slot squarely in line with his ranking. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Myles Harden in pick 198 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
They let Daijun Edwards come to them and pounced at pick 219. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Garret Greenfield in the Round 7 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
