You could see the war room lean forward. Quinshon Judkins at No. 146 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.
That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 26th overall pick they get a home-run threat at receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They took JT Tuimoloau at par in slot 59, which is nothing to complain about. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
You do not let an interior defensive lineman like Tyleik Williams reach No. 79 and blink. They did not. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Quinshon Judkins in pick No. 146 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Seth McLaughlin at Round 6, Pick 27 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Ollie Gordon II in the 235th pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It fills a real need, too.
