When a board-topper like Rylie Mills slides to the 130th pick, you do not overthink it, and the Commanders did not. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
If Howard pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

In pick No. 2 they get a premier pass rusher. A clean fit for the roster.
A reach for TreVeyon Henderson in No. 34; a little patience would have been rewarded. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
No drama and no debate, Josh Simmons went about where he belonged in the 66th overall pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Circle this one: Danny Stutsman at No. 98 is a fall that decides a draft. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.

Zach Rice at the 162nd pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
