If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Patriots, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.

If McGregor pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. A whole weekend of picks and safety is somehow still a want.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Williams.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Xavier Legette and all.
