Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Texans came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Job largely done: running back settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.
