Whoever sat across the table from the Packers should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. That Washington pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
It is a haul that will look even better come September.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a sticky cover corner. The biggest hole, addressed.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Tyler Nubin at the Round 2 slot. It adds depth where they could use a little.
T'Vondre Sweat in slot 60 is fair value, right on his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Junior Colson in the 88th overall pick. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Malik Washington at the 135th pick is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. The roster fit checks out.
A straight-up fair deal on Javion Cohen at pick 140, value and slot in agreement. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Jawhar Jordan is a better player than pick No. 217 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Tatum Bethune at No. 246 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
