You build a draft on nights like this. Domonique Orange had no business being available in pick No. 97, and the Vikings did the only sane thing and turned in the card. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
They will need Coogan to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
