The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Bears reached some 105 spots for Eric Gentry, and value like that does not grow back.

The Bell pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

A fair-value weekend of trading, no edge to be found.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
