They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Drake Maye is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop.

The Gore Jr. pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is McMillan. The Patriots indulged a want in Jackson while a need in tight end stayed open.

They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
