Somebody in the 153rd overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Cardinals sat still while Kyle McCord, the No. 125 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
The Mills reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 16th overall pick they get an anchor for the offensive line, even if it was a touch early. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Good price on Jihaad Campbell in the 47th pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A tidy bit of business in slot 78, where Jalen Royals graded well above the range. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A real head-scratcher, Rylie Mills in pick No. 114 is miles ahead of his ranking. It fills a real need, too.
A quarterback of that caliber at No. 153 is the definition of value, full stop. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
