Good, not great, for the Cardinals: B.

The Cardinals went off the board in a big way for Javon Foster, 29 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. No fireworks, but a solid B.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The McKinstry steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 5 they get a cornerstone up front at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
In the Round 1 slot they get a weapon on the perimeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A tidy bit of business in Round 2, Pick 3, where Kool-Aid McKinstry graded well above the range. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Braden Fiske at the 66th overall pick is the proof. It fills a real need, too.
No edge and no loss on Sedrick Van Pran in pick No. 71; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They talked themselves into Javon Foster at slot 90, and the board did not agree. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
