Everything else got attention, and offensive lineman got none. That is a strange way for the Buccaneers to leave a draft. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
The Golday value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Good work on the whole, with offensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 15 they get a problem off the edge. A clean fit for the roster.
Eli Stowers at slot 46 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jake Golday in the 72nd overall pick. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They took Bishop Fitzgerald at par in the 116th pick, which is nothing to complain about. A minor itch, scratched.
They paid sticker price for Rayshaun Benny in Round 5, Pick 15, and that is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A straight-up fair deal on Dane Key at the Round 7 slot, value and slot in agreement. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
