The Giants cashed the board's mistake on Royer: B.

Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Giants never addressed interior defensive lineman, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
Royer at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The cost of the York reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They read the board right and Chris Brazzell II was the payoff at Round 2, Pick 5. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Taurean York at pick 105 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A minor need, but a need all the same.
You do not let a tight end like Joe Royer reach the 145th overall pick and blink. They did not. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Febechi Nwaiwu at pick No. 186 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
J'Mari Taylor at the 192nd pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the running back. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They took Pat Coogan at par in Round 6, Pick 12, which is nothing to complain about. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
