The rest of the league will want that one back. Eli Stowers tumbling to the Buccaneers in pick 77 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They will need Lawrence to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 15 they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece. More want than need.
Malachi Lawrence in pick 46 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Eli Stowers at the 77th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Logan Jones in pick No. 116 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Beau Stephens at the 156th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Aaron Anderson in Round 6, Pick 14 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Good price on Jadon Canady in No. 229, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A need, and now a little less of one.
