The Cowboys' one glaring miss is quarterback, a need they left exactly as they found it. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
The Johnson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Smith-Wade falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

Tyler Guyton in slot 37 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
No edge and no loss on T'Vondre Sweat in the Round 2 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Jalen McMillan in No. 87 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A conviction pick on Dillon Johnson at pick No. 105 that the board grades a round light. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Cedric Gray in the 124th overall pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Chau Smith-Wade in Round 5, Pick 38. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
No drama and no debate, Jase McClellan went about where he belonged in pick 212. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
