Somebody in No. 220 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Patriots sat still while Cam Skattebo, the No. 114 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

They will need Horn Jr. to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. The back end got a real overhaul.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
