Thirty-one other rooms let Cam Skattebo slide, and the Texans were the ones holding the card at Round 5, Pick 28. Highway robbery.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 26 they get a weapon on the perimeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
Fair-plus on Tate Ratledge, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Tyleik Williams at pick No. 58 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Xavier Watts in Round 3, Pick 25 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Demetrius Knight Jr. at slot 90 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The roster fit checks out.
A running back of that caliber at pick 165 is the definition of value, full stop. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Circle this one: Joshua Gray at the 188th pick is a fall that decides a draft. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
