The war room fell hard for Taulia Tagovailoa, and it showed at slot 240: 36 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

However the rest shakes out, Hadden at that price is a win they earned. The Stover pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at interior defensive lineman, safety and other spots. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
