If confidence were a draft strategy, the Packers would have aced it. J.C. Davis at No. 91 is 43 spots clear of where he belonged.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.

Domonique Orange in pick No. 84 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A need, and now a little less of one.
They talked themselves into J.C. Davis at pick 91, and the board did not agree. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Mason Reiger this early at No. 120. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
J'Mari Taylor at slot 160 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They liked TJ Hall enough to skip the value, taking him in the 201st overall pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
