Every other box got a look, but wide receiver did not. The Texans will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
The Robinson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Haynes. Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
Chop Robinson at slot 23 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Edgerrin Cooper in No. 58 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Christian Haynes at the 90th overall pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Mohamed Kamara at the 123rd pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A tidy little value on MarShawn Lloyd in pick No. 126, a step better than break-even. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Edefuan Ulofoshio in pick 163 is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
