You could see the war room lean forward. Ainias Smith at pick No. 179 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it. The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice.

They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
