The board owed the Vikings one, and it paid up: Chau Smith-Wade, the No. 158 name on the board, sitting there at the Round 6 slot like a gift left on the doorstep.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
