Some picks age like wine; Nick Gargiulo at slot 245 will need to, sitting 34 spots clear of his grade. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
Getting Gore Jr. where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.
Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a bendy edge with upside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
No edge and no loss on Cooper Beebe in the 41st overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. The roster fit checks out.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Junior Colson in pick No. 58. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Value with a capital V on Renardo Green in the Round 3 slot, a genuine coup. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
By-the-book stuff, Christian Mahogany at slot 91 squarely in line with his ranking. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They reached into another round for Isaiah Davis, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
