The real work happened on the phones. The Giants fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.
The Sainristil value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
A strong weekend's work, and a rare one to find this little fault with.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 11th pick they get a long-term starter on the line at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Keon Coleman slid further than he should have, and No. 39 is lovely value for the wide receiver. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Kamren Kinchens slipping to the 51st overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They will replay Kiran Amegadjie at slot 70 for years; that is how good the value is. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
You do not let a cornerback like Mike Sainristil reach pick No. 107 and blink. They did not. It fills a real need, too.
The board fumbled Dillon Johnson all the way to Round 5, Pick 7, and they scooped it up. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Nice patience on Jaylan Ford, who had no business lasting to slot 185. It adds depth where they could use a little.
