After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Commanders committed. Drake Maye is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

However the rest shakes out, Smith at that price is a win they earned. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
