Everything downstream of Caleb Williams depends on Caleb Williams, and the building knows it. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Getting McMillan where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
