When a board-topper like Isaiah Davis slides to pick 226, you do not overthink it, and the Chargers did not.
A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

In pick 5 they get a home-run threat at receiver. The biggest hole, addressed.

Taking Isaiah Davis in pick No. 226 is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
