The Vikings ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.

It is not that Solomon is a bad player; it is that the Vikings had louder needs to answer first. The Muasau pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

The cost of the Bortolini reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
