Kansas City Chiefs
Grand theft in the Round 7 slot: the Chiefs steal Magee and grade out a B.
Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Chiefs were there to profit. Jordan Magee, the No. 222 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 252. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. The cost of the Smith reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
