The Cardinals did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Tai Felton fell into pick 114.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 16 they get protection for the quarterback at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Steal is underselling it; Jalon Walker at pick No. 47 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Aeneas Peebles in Round 3, Pick 14 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They robbed the room for Tai Felton here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
