The search is over. The Giants handed the keys to Jayden Daniels, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
Landing Green that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 6th overall pick they get the face of the franchise at fair value. A real need, handled.
They took Xavier Legette at par in Round 2, Pick 20, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Javon Bullard in the Round 3 slot. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Blake Fisher at slot 99 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Somehow Renardo Green was still sitting there in pick 107, and they pounced on premier safety value. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
You do not let a tight end like Erick All reach the 154th pick and blink. They did not. The roster fit checks out.
The board fumbled Caedan Wallace all the way to No. 166, and they scooped it up. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They barely believed it either: Isaiah Davis still on the board at pick No. 183. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
