The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Seahawks watched Michael Taaffe slide 28 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move. On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.
The back end got a real overhaul.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Brandon Cisse at No. 47. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They paid sticker price for Jadarian Price in the Round 2 slot, and that is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Michael Taaffe at slot 96 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Jaeden Roberts in pick No. 156 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They took Ephesians Prysock at par in Round 6, Pick 7, which is nothing to complain about. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Jimmy Rolder in pick 214 is fair value, right on his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
