The Aaron Graves selection is the head-turner. The Ravens reached 37 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.
The phones were where this weekend was really won. Jones at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The Brian O'Neill deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 18 they get a mismatch in the passing game at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Value with a capital V on Omar Cooper Jr. in pick 45, a genuine coup. It fills a real need, too.
Treydan Stukes in slot 80 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Logan Jones at No. 115 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Beau Stephens in Round 5, Pick 14 is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A straight-up fair deal on Demond Claiborne at the Round 5 slot, value and slot in agreement. The roster fit checks out.
Kaleb Elarms-Orr in slot 173 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
A wild overpay on Aaron Graves in the 174th overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A wide receiver of that caliber at the Round 6 slot is the definition of value, full stop. A need, and now a little less of one.
