Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins turned the phones into found money: B.

2024 NFL Draft
· 7 picks
· 2 steals
· 3 reaches
If confidence were a draft strategy, the Dolphins would have aced it. Andrew Raym at the 198th pick is 41 spots clear of where he belonged.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. The McCormick value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
The Trey Smith deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 32 they get an anchor for the defensive front, though they paid up to get him. The biggest hole, addressed.
Xavier Worthy at the 55th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A tidy bit of business in the 158th overall pick, where Mason McCormick graded well above the range. A need, and now a little less of one.
A reach for AJ Barner in No. 159; a little patience would have been rewarded. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Layden Robinson at Round 6, Pick 9 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They talked themselves into Andrew Raym at the Round 6 slot, and the board did not agree. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Dominique Hampton at slot 241 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A minor need, but a need all the same.
