This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Tahj Washington, the No. 187 name on the board, stolen at pick No. 241.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
Nothing to complain about; Troy Fautanu went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
They did well to land Kris Jenkins in pick 55, just ahead of his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A straight-up fair deal on Christian Haynes at slot 60, value and slot in agreement. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They paid sticker price for Nelson Ceaser in Round 5, Pick 22, and that is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They took Jordan Jefferson at par in No. 184, which is nothing to complain about. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A reach for Jared Wiley in the Round 6 slot; a little patience would have been rewarded. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They robbed the room for Tahj Washington here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
