This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Aaron Anderson, the No. 181 name on the board, stolen at No. 218. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 12 they get a green-dot type in the middle. The biggest hole, addressed.
In pick No. 29 they get a press-man option on the boundary at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
They robbed the room for D'Angelo Ponds here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Michael Taaffe at the 92nd overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Bryce Lance slipping to pick 112 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
