When a board-topper like Kenyon Sadiq slides to pick No. 236, you do not overthink it, and the Packers did not.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.
Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
A top-tier edge rusher at a bargain, David Bailey in the Round 2 slot, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Circle this one: Spencer Fano at Round 3, Pick 20 is a fall that decides a draft. A need, and now a little less of one.
Jermod McCoy at pick 120 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They robbed the room for Kayden McDonald here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Sonny Styles in No. 201 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It adds depth where they could use a little.
