Green Bay Packers

The Packers fleeced the room on the phones and earned a A-.

Whoever sat across the table from the Packers should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

They banked enough surplus on Sainristil to cover a lot of smaller sins. They are betting Berger proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

The Packers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Bottom line, with Jared Verse leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.23 · Pick 23 · Jared Verse · DE-EDGE · rank 22
In pick 23 they get a bendy edge with upside at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R2.23 · Pick 55 · Jermaine Burton · WR · rank 57
No edge and no loss on Jermaine Burton in No. 55; it is a wash and a sensible one. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R2.31 · Pick 63 · Kamren Kinchens · S · rank 65
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Kamren Kinchens. A minor need, but a need all the same.
R3.9 · Pick 73 · Sedrick Van Pran · C · rank 66
A reasonable price with a little left over, Sedrick Van Pran in pick No. 73. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R3.18 · Pick 82 · Adonai Mitchell · WR · rank 76
Nothing to complain about; Adonai Mitchell went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
R4.9 · Pick 109 · Tyler Davis · DT · rank 99
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Tyler Davis in slot 109. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R4.13 · Pick 113 · Jalen McMillan · WR · rank 115
No drama and no debate, Jalen McMillan went about where he belonged in the Round 4 slot. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R4.23 · Pick 123 · Javion Cohen · OG · rank 116
Javion Cohen at Round 4, Pick 23 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R4.35 · Pick 135 · Ben Sinnott · TE · rank 133
Ben Sinnott in the Round 4 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R5.27 · Pick 163 · KJ Jefferson · QB · rank 142
A quarterback of that caliber at the 163rd overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R6.12 · Pick 187 · Mike Sainristil · DB · rank 158
Mike Sainristil at pick No. 187 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Where it fits the depth chart is the real question.
R6.42 · Pick 217 · Shemar Turner · DL-EDGE · rank 209
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Shemar Turner at No. 217. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R6.44 · Pick 219 · Jaylan Ford · LB · rank 196
Jaylan Ford at the 219th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A minor itch, scratched.
R7.10 · Pick 230 · Storm Duck · CB · rank 238
Storm Duck at Round 7, Pick 10 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R7.24 · Pick 244 · Taulia Tagovailoa · QB · rank 250
Taulia Tagovailoa in slot 244 is fair value, right on his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R7.32 · Pick 252 · Jalen Berger · RB · rank 283
Jalen Berger at pick 252 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
