The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Giants spent their marquee pick on Drake Maye, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.
The Tagovailoa reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with safety chief among the fixes.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 3 they get the arm they will build around at fair value. A real need, handled.
Nate Wiggins at slot 35 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A big swing on Zak Zinter at No. 57, well ahead of any board in the building. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Andrew Mukuba at the 67th pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Christian Mahogany. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Cam Hart at the Round 5 slot is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Taulia Tagovailoa at Round 6, Pick 6 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
