This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Devontez Walker, the No. 146 name on the board, stolen at pick No. 187. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The Bogle reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The Packers paired the rookies with proven help, Ed Ingram leading the way.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.
Pick-by-Pick
Fair-plus on Emeka Egbuka, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A straight-up fair deal on Calen Bullock at No. 41, value and slot in agreement. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
No drama and no debate, Sedrick Van Pran went about where he belonged in pick 59. It fills a real need, too.
Byron Murphy II in slot 62 lands just on the right side of the ledger. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A quiet steal in the 73rd pick: Ja'Lynn Polk for less than the market said. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Nice patience on Quinyon Mitchell, who had no business lasting to the 82nd overall pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
No edge and no loss on Payton Wilson in pick No. 99; it is a wash and a sensible one. It adds depth where they could use a little.
They took Tyleik Williams at par in the Round 4 slot, which is nothing to complain about. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Connor Colby in the 120th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A tidy bit of business in pick 129, where James Williams graded well above the range. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
The board fumbled Khyree Jackson all the way to No. 135, and they scooped it up. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

Jawhar Jordan in the 219th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Dwight McGlothern at the Round 7 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
By-the-book stuff, Taulia Tagovailoa at pick No. 241 squarely in line with his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They paid up for Khris Bogle at No. 251 when waiting would have done the job. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
