The rest of the league had time to spare on Logan Taylor; the Packers did not wait, grabbing him 32 spots ahead at the 236th overall pick. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
The Hecht steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
D'Angelo Ponds at pick 52 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Darrell Jackson Jr. in the 84th pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Sam Hecht at pick No. 120 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Malik Benson at Round 5, Pick 13 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.

They paid sticker price for Desmond Reid in slot 255, and that is fine. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
