You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Patriots did exactly that with Haynes King in No. 247.

The Lane steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
