Thirty-one other rooms let Jason Marshall Jr. slide, and the Patriots were the ones holding the card at slot 220. Highway robbery. The bottom line is a respectable B.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They will need Parr to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

No edge and no loss on Armand Membou in the 15th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Tyler Booker in slot 38 is fair value, right on his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Nice patience on Xavier Restrepo, who had no business lasting to Round 3, Pick 13. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A running back of that caliber at No. 106 is the definition of value, full stop. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Steal is underselling it; Billy Bowman Jr. at the Round 5 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Circle this one: Luke Lachey at the 217th pick is a fall that decides a draft. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They robbed the room for Jason Marshall Jr. here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Logan Parr in pick No. 238 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
