The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Cowboys reached some 77 spots for Logan Brown, and value like that does not grow back. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Kneeland pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with tight end and interior defensive lineman still on the board. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, tight end very much included.
