The Packers kept it disciplined and banked a B.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Packers walked out of the weekend still thin at quarterback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons.

Marshall Jr. at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

They will need Smith to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.19 · Pick 19 · Nic Scourton · DE-EDGE · rank 21
In pick 19 they get a disruptor off the edge. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
R2.28 · Pick 60 · Aeneas Peebles · DT · rank 56
They did well to land Aeneas Peebles in slot 60, just ahead of his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R3.19 · Pick 83 · Jonah Monheim · OT · rank 86
Jonah Monheim at No. 83 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R3.28 · Pick 92 · Jacobee Bryant · CB · rank 90
By-the-book stuff, Jacobee Bryant at Round 3, Pick 28 squarely in line with his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R4.19 · Pick 115 · Jason Marshall Jr. · CB · rank 104
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jason Marshall Jr. at the Round 4 slot is the proof. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R5.29 · Pick 157 · Tim Smith · DL · rank 168
Tim Smith at the 157th pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. A need, and now a little less of one.
R6.19 · Pick 179 · Jalen Travis · OT · rank 172
Fair-plus on Jalen Travis, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
