The Giants spent the pick that matters most on Drake Maye, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
Reaching for Liufau left real value on the table behind him. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.
On value alone, Mustapha makes the weekend a net positive.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 6 they get their guy under center for the next decade. A clean fit for the roster.
They jumped the gun on Xavier Worthy, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They paid sticker price for Jaylen Wright in pick No. 70, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A straight-up fair deal on Jarvis Brownlee Jr. at slot 107, value and slot in agreement. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Marist Liufau. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
